Medium Voltage Switchgear for Secondary Distribution – MOD AIR Range

  The modular medium voltage switchgear designed for secondary distribution, in the MOD6 Air range, is developed and manufactured in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2024/573 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024, which prohibits the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases.

These switchgear units are available in configurations that allow for complex, customizable solutions, tailored to the specific requirements of each application. They ensure optimal integration of functions for lines, transformer protection, measurement, coupling, as well as combined line and measurement functions—bringing together in a single medium voltage cell both the switching devices and the current and voltage transformers.

The MOD6 Air modular switchgear range for secondary distribution is designed to be fully compatible with the existing MOD6 range, allowing for the easy expansion of medium voltage switchboards previously delivered by EnergoBit. At the same time, this range complies with the requirements of REGULATION (EU) No. 573/2024 regarding the prohibition of fluorinated greenhouse gases.

The medium voltage switchgear in the MOD6 Air range is designed to meet partition class PI or PM, and from the service continuity perspective, falls into the LSC2A category. The integrated switching devices in these units consist of load break switches and circuit breakers, using eco-friendly alternative technologies to fluorinated gases.

The insulation medium for the medium voltage cells is air, and for the switching devices it is dry air, with current interruption carried out in vacuum using load break switches or vacuum circuit breakers, thus providing a sustainable solution that complies with current European regulations.
