SCADA Solutions

Our tailored SCADA solution has been implemented with one of the DSOs in Romania, Electrica Distributie Transilvania Nord (EDTN) serving more than 2.8 million persons spread over a 34,000km 2 surface. EDTN distributed around 5 million MWh in 2015, about 9% of the entire electricity consumption in Romania. With a graduated integration, EnergoBit has designed, installed and commissioned a customized SCADA system integrating more than 690 Substations on both High Voltage (HV) to Medium Voltage (MV) and MV to Low Voltage (LV) levels; operation of more than 800 MV Reclosers and Remote load disconnectors is continuously monitored and controlled directly from the Command Center in Cluj-Napoca.

As a natural evolution, we have recently implemented for EDTN an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). This includes a Distribution Management System (DMS) and an Energy Management System (EMS).

Besides the increased flexibility in operation, this unique platform for network management contributes to reduced operational costs and security of electricity supply towards end-customers.

Our “open” architecture and standard communication protocols allow efficient integration of equipment from a broad range of manufacturers; this increases the flexibility in the design of the network and ensures reduced investment costs compared with a traditional approach.
