The EnergoBit – ELM Electromontaj Cluj team participated in the successful completion of the project “Modernization of the 220 / 110kV TIHĂU station“, a project achieved in consortium with SIEMENS, beneficiary being Transelectrica.
The 220 / 110kV station is located in Tihău, near Jibou, Sălaj County, and transits the necessary power to consumers in Sălaj, Baia Mare and Satu Mare.
Under this project, the existing primary equipment has been replaced with new equipment. The works – construction, assembly of primary equipment, secondary circuits, lighting circuits and external sockets – had a high complexity, for their achievement opting for the reuse and adaptation of existing foundations in order to locate the new equipment.
The project was executed on a timely basis, although the works were halted for two months due to problems in the national power system caused by last year’s tornado.
