Press release – 2007 achievements

EnergoBit Group – Cluj Napoca, one of the main electric equipment manufacturers and contractor in the electric installations field, had quite a spectacular evolution last year.

According to the financial results, the group’s turnover in 2007 raised at € 90.4 millions (301.7 millions RON), approximately 75% higher than in 2006, when the turnover reached € 51.8 millions (182.5 millions RON). The gross profit rate stands at 10%.
Some of our recent references are: full turn-key projects for the electric installations at Polus Commercial Center Cluj, 5 high voltage transformer station for Transelectrica, Electrica and several private investors, SCADA system for the high voltage networks of Electrica Transilvania Nord, as well as the night-flood installation on CFR 1907 Cluj football stadium.

In 2007, EnergoBit Group has finished the new offices inside the industrial park Tetarom I from Cluj-Napoca, investing € 5 millions in technology and interior refurbishments, and doubling thus the production and offices areas for the headquarter. In the same year, a new joint-venture with the Italian company Tesar was set up, and it’s activating in the manufacture of dry-type transformers for the Romanian market.

2008 is the year when the project for doubling the production capacity of our unit in Jibou, county of Salaj, will be finalized. We can thus meet the large number of requests for the original products of EnergoBit Prod. The Group is preparing approximately € 50 millions investments in building a 40 MW wind power park, in Tulcea county, where the company has purchased a 67 ha land.

Energobit Group has over 370 employees all over the country, thereof over 120 highly specialized engineers, the production units being located in Cluj and Jibou. The company’s headquarters are in Cluj, and it activates on national level through its subsidiaries from Bucharest, Bacau, Brasov and Constanta.

The holding is offering its customers a complete solution in electricity, through its main units: Energobit – contracter specialized in complex electrical installations and performing engineering services, Energobit Prod – manufacturer of low and medium voltage equipment, EnergoBit Schréder – manufacturer of street and industrial lighting equipment, Energolux – specialized in indoor and stage lighting systems, EnergoEco – for consultancy in energy efficiency projects, and Enex – electricity supplier.
